Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn, born on August 19, 1965 is an American actress. She is also an actor and producer. Her role as the main character in TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most popular. As a result of her portrayal as Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. The show ended on August 13th, 2012 following the conclusion of the seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe nomination for her role as Madeline Wuntch on Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The actress also appeared in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was one of the New York City native, the daughter Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) was an educator and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI who was a venture capitalist. Her mother, who was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian origins. Sedgwick has announced that she's Jewish and is a part of Passover meals.
